- Define Relapse, and Relapse Prevention
- Develop a better understanding of the unique treatment needs of older adults.
- Identify the bio-psycho-social factors affecting older adults and their role in the relapse process
- Develop an increased understanding of the rationale and benefits of incorporating relapse prevention strategies into treatment
- Identify key components of effective relapse prevention programs.
- Be able to employ 2 cognitive behavioral self management relapse prevention strategies for older adults
- Incorporate relapse prevention strategies for older adults into their counseling regime
